Im really pleased with this, the exhibitions taking shape and the works looking how id like it. This is the second badge i made today- it looks great on the white background- really sharp.
Im really pleased with this, my first ceramic work, i definitely want to do more work in ceramics this year- its kind of cool to see your work in 3-D after working on paper for so long.
Today I went to the printers to have a look over the limited edition prints, im really pleased with them, got them on nice heavy paper which really adds a bit of texture and the blacks have come out not too heavy and not too light, perfect! I was a bit worried about how the detail of the dots would translate but they've done a great job, and im really looking forward to the exhibition on Friday. bring it, bring it on!

Monument A0 pen and ink drawing Available as a Limited Edition print
My practice is concerned with obsessional mark making, with issues of time, the fight to cover or not to cover the entire working surface and the permanence/impermanence of the image.
I am investigating the thought that we leave a residue everywhere we go, in our actions/inactions and in our thoughts. This thought process is not always evident in the pictures I draw but is a necessity in creating them.
I rigidly set aside uninterrupted 10 hourly drawing sessions throughout the night in a compulsive attempt to cover every part of the surface.
This compulsion has drawn comparisons with Horror Vacui- an obsession to completely cover and remove any “voids” from the surface upon which I draw. I find my later works challenging this obsession, almost daring myself to leave empty spaces and taunting me to complete them throughout the night.
